Zone 10

The Foxtail Palm's name derives from the unusual and attractive bushy fronds which look somewhat like the tail of a real fox

Native to the tropics of northern Australia, the Foxtail Palm has become extremely popular in South Florida over the past 10-15 years. Used as a specimen tree alone or in groups or mixed with other palms, Foxtail is a winner

Said to be fast growing, we believe it's a medium in speed. Rated at up to 30 feet, none are that size yet in our area. Foxtail has moderate salt tolerance, is not fussy about its soil, and wants reasonable irrigation from rain or sprinklers

Foxtail has surprisingly large seeds.  Click here to see

Fertilize as you would any palm.  Foxtail demands a proper feeding routine
